How to use photoshop CS3 to make a similare image to this one

Here i will explain how to edit an image to resemble the blacked out and enhanced colours in this image here of the clown fish


















....STEP ONE....


After uploading an image, go to the side bar and select the SPONGE tool, you will find it under the DODGE tool which will be visible until you change the tool to the sponge tool

....STEP TWO....

Here you select the FLOW rate of the brush to 100%

....STEP THREE....


Then select the MODE to DISATURATE

....STEP FOUR....


Now select the brush DIAMETER, then the HARDNESS to 100

....STEP FIVE....


here you start to paint the parts you want to black and white, you may have to paint over and over to reach the result yopu want,
and if you want pure black and white you may have to paint over about ten times in the areas you want

....STEP SIX....


try ZOOMING in more to help not smudge the edges and have perfect sharp colored edges. this will help you a lot.

....STEP SEVEN....


here you finaly finished painting the areas you want black and white

....STEP EIGHT....


Now we start the BURN tool that will darken areas if you wish to do so.

....STEP NINE....


Then select the RANGE to HIGHLIGHTS

....STEP TEN....


you can darken the areas until you reach the darkness you want. you may have to paint over until you reach that darkness

....STEP ELEVEN....


Now we will darken the colors to enhance them and show them off more
select the RANGE to MILDTONES then color over the colored areas only do not touch the black and white areas
use the zoom tool to stay away from the edges and stay within the colored areas

....STEP TWELVE....


you can see how you must color over a few times to reach the tone you want

and your done!
